M5 x 25mm TORX Countersunk Bolt
TORX Screws are less likely to strip out when compared to a hex screw, because of the way the load is distributed and applied between the tool and the hardware. Because of this load distribution, the height of the head of the bolt can be reduced - making them nice & flush.
Made from A4 Marine Grade Stainless Steel, all of the nuts, bolts & screws used in a TRAMPA board have proven to be up to the challenge of holding everything together. Using Marine Grade Stainless Steel also means these Bolts will never rust on you! They can cope with the harshest of weather conditions & will laugh in the face of sandy/salty beaches or muddy freeride tracks - which can turn other manufacturers’ nuts & bolts into corroded rusting wrecks!
Wherever possible, we dip all our bolts into BLUE THREAD LOCKING PASTE, to ensure an extra strong & secure fix between the nuts & bolts.
The TRAMPA-IR Truck & 12/14FiFties longboard Trucks make use of Blood Orange's PLUG Barrel & WEDGE bushings.
Using a high responsive nylon formula, the insert bushings are designed to eliminate any gaps between bushing, hangar and kingpin. Less play on the pivot axis means improved responsiveness and a rapid return to center for those ultra tight turns!
The unique stepped plug design sits within the bushing recess on the IR hanger which helps the complete truck become more stable and restricts unwanted movement within the double kingpin design making it very comfortable at high speeds.
Rubber hardness is measured in Shore Durometer resistance, These Skate Bushings are 89a rubber hardness, which are and intermediate hardness giving good compromise between stability at speed and responsiveness when carving. Used in conjunction with a flat plate washer, the bushing can be tightened onto the kingpin to increase steering resistance.
WEDGE BUSHING 83a Lubricated Internal - DENIM BLUE
Blood Orange 83A urethane wedge bushing are used exclusivley as the bottom kingpin bushing for the TRAMPA-IR Truck & TRAMPA's 12 & 14FiFties Range of Longboard Trucks!!
The unique stepped wedge design sits within the bushing recess on the hanger which helps the complete truck become more stable restricting unwanted movement within the Skate Truck Kingpin design making it very comfortable at high speeds. The Wedge bushing desgin also offers a progressive resistance as you turn.
These Wedge bushings are through TRAMPA only avaiable as 83a rubber hardness, which after testing in conjunction with the IR truck, offers the best responsiveness & greatest performance allowing you to get the most out of your steering system.
Introducing the new EXTRA-WIDE Double King-Pinned TRAMPA'IR Truck steering system.
Taken from a classic skateboard design & then seriously Beefed-up, TRAMPA''s IR Extra Wide Trucks may visually seem more familiar to someone coming from a skate or Longboard background.
Double bushed steering supported by pretty much any Skate or Longboard style bushing they perform comfortably for all kinds of riders on all types of terrain, wether it be causing nuisance carving up streets through the middle of your home town or ripping through the gnarliest of tight woodland trails these trucks can handle it all.
TRAMPA-IR TRUCKS - Why not??
With a compatible mounting pattern exactly the same as that of any of the TRAMPA TRUCKS, the IR Trucks can be easily Retro-Fitted to your existing deck giving your board yet another brand new look & feel under your feet!
TRAMPA-IR Trucks have a 17 Inch Wheel Base (1'' Inch Wider than our regular ATB Spring Trucks), consequently they feel tremendously stable at speed whilst still offering heaps of steering, regardless of what deck they are fitted too.
The Double kingpin design has been used in many iterations over the years. Using the simple mechanical principle of doubling the steering resistance of that of a regular ATB Skate Truck, to make the ride feel more stable at speed, compared to the original Single Skate or a loose set Spring Truck steering system.
Each bushing is located on a seat, one inside the hanger body (BUSHING IRIS) between the Baseplate & one below, held in by a Skate Washer & 3/8ths Inch Nut. Everything is bolted together using 2x 50mm long skate kingpin which are the shared parts from the ATB Skate Trucks that we offer.
CNC'd from a billet of 6061 T6 Aluminum, they have been High Bead polished for surface protection & High Gloss BLACK Anodised for perfect colour co-ordination with all the other anodised parts.
The TRAMPA-IR hanger body 30mm wider than TRAMPA's original spring truck design & is in total 312 mm wide & is 'Box shaped', providing the ultimate structural strength.
Using CNC as a production method we are able to remove the mass of the material out keeping the weight of the hanger body as low as possible!
The TRAMPA-IR hanger has a 'slung forward' design which lengthens the wheel-base further from the end of the deck. This maximises the foot to wheel clearance whilst lengthening the overall ride allowing greater stability at higher speed, making the most of the new hangar width....
An interesting feature of the hanger geometry is the vertical kingpin position. The CNC box section extends past the bottom bushings kingpins, making it less likely to catch on obstacles below you & extending hangar life!
MOTOR MOUNTING & WHEEL OPTIONS
The TRAMPA'IR Trucks feature the same length 12mm Steel axle & are fitted into the same precision made CNC 19.5 x 19.5mm motor mounting square as the famous PRECISION Made CNC INFINITY & VERTIGO spring trucks have. SO as a consequence any of the TRAMPA Mountainboard Motor Mounts can be fitted just the same way. The same applies to the TRAMPA wheel range, any wheel TRAMPA offers to fit 12mm Axles will fit to the TRAMPA-IR Trucks, that gives you a range of wheel sizes to pick from, from 5-10 Inch through the options TRAMPA offers...
BUSHING SETUP
Since the TRAMPA-IR Trucks feature a standard skate bushing eye, pretty much any & every available Skate or Longboard bushing can be used in combination with the TRAMPA-IR Truck system. The tuning options are therefore endless. However you don't need to go mad & try hundreds of possible combinations. While you can improve the response to your individual needs, the standard setup should already work very well for you.
FITTING THE IRs TO YOUR DECK & MOUNTING PATTERN
Super handy too know they fit to all TRAMPA Mountain boards so it doesn't matter what kind of a Mountain board you have, you can be sure it will fit. The only decks that can not take the IR Baseplates are the older style Holy Pro decks with the big frog mouth cutout in the nose. Holy pro decks with the smaller cutout in the nose can take the IR baseplate. Those decks typically allow for inside & outside spring position & will there fore be suitable.
The mounting pattern of the Baseplate is 63.5 x 41mm, same as the old skate truck pattern used on all our other tucks so everything can fit where others have already been making them the perfect upgrade Truck. The axles are in the same position compared to the TRAMPA spring trucks, just the wheel base will be 30mm wider.
BASEPLATE
CNC'd from a from a billet of 6061 T6 Aluminum & comes in 10 different rainbow colours. the TRAMPA-IR Baseplate is designed to hold two standard skate kingpins (9.4 x 50mm).
RAKE
In order to shift the wheels further towards the end of s the deck, giving the board an additional 6mm of wheelbase length, the design is non symmetric in regards to the mounting pattern & depending on how you flip/position the Baseplate, you can either increase or decrease the wheel base of your board by 12mm.
WIDTH
Being 17 inches wide the TRAMPA-IR Trucks have extra stability built in
